Hunter remote controlled ceiling fan installation question ?
I just bought a Hunter 60" remote controlled ceiling fan (with no light)to install on my ranch/covered style front porch. I have 3 lights in a row on my porch ceiling on same switch and decided to remove the center light and install the fan there. I have a motion detection light switch controlling the lights. The ceiling fan remote only works when the light switch is on... which only comes on during motion detection or if I manually over ride the motion and turn the light switch to 'on without motion detection'... Is there any way I can control/wire the fan to work without the light switch being in 'on' position... or do I need to remove the motion detection light switch system (due to possibility of fan remote jumpers interfering with the motion detection switch signal)... & find way to manually turn other 2 lights off while switch stays in on position ? HELP!

To control the fan without the lights you need a new cable run to the fan with a dedicated black/white and ground.
