I was hurt from 10 to 15, I am 18 now.

Thou he said he's sorry, I can't forgive him! Can he get in trouble for what he did to me or am I to old now?

I hate to ask but what form of hurt did you receive? That way we can form an answer for you. You don't have to describe everything just the category that it falls under. Example you were molested or beaten etc.

The laws are different for different things.

He raped me!

He's my stepfather - my mom loves him and is in love and happy it started with a threat that he would hurt my mom if I told and as I got older it became I will kill her.

My mom and him had a little girl together, she's now 3. I hate her and I want her gone she's satans child!! He stopped hurting me just after it was born - at times I get this feeling that I want to hurt her?

I asked a friend about rape and she said its only used if a minor gets hurt.. I got sick when she told me..

I couldn't find a specific site listing the Statute of Limitations for South Africa.

Don't rely on your friend's advice because I believe its wrong. I'm sure the hospital assigned you a therapist to talked to. Did you tell them what you were put through? In the US they would have been required to report it to the authorities. Ask about that.

If not, go to your local police station and report it! You may be told its too late, but I don't believe it is. Since this happened up until 15 its only 3 years past. The fact that you are now 18 doesn't have a bearing. The question is only whether 3 years is too late late to report this crime and that is a short time for child molestation or rape.

PLEASE seek out a good therapist. Even if the law will not prosecute a good therapist can help you deal with what was done to you and help put you back together. You may even be able to sue him for the costs, even if you can't criminally prosecute.
