    I'm wiring a 208 plug from my 208 panel... 2 hots,nuetral, and ground to plug, right?

    Point of information. If this is a residential panel then you would have 240/120 volt power, not 208volt power. What is the plug you are wiring being used for?

    It's a commercial facility... the old tennants provided me with a 208 y panel and I needed a 220 or 208 plug, so how do I wire it. I bought a plug that has 2 hot screws, 1 nuetral, and 1 grnd, thnks

    Okay, you really need to answer the questions that were previously asked.

    What is the amperage that the cord will carry?

    If you do not have a decent background in electricity, please call a licensed electrician.

    If not connected to the proper phase bar, 208 will fry anything it touches.

    Not to mention or ignore safety, but 208 is a flat out killer.

    Unless you are a licensed electrician (wouldnt a licensed electrician know the answer or know how to find out better?) you shouldn't be playing with wiring. Its illegal and could get you, and others killed.

    You are asking if it needs a neutral when you are the only one who can answer this.
