    Free life insurance policy search?
    I need to find out if there are any life insurance policies out there on myself and my deceased parents, what is my best plan of action?

    There is no national database of life insurance policies - you pretty much need to find any policies your parents may have had through some detective work. Look through their files or old financial records to see if there are any insurance contracts. Also keep an eye on mail addressed to them - life insurance ompanies will typically mail out statements at least annually. As for whether there are any policies out there on your own life: in order for someoine to take out a life insurance policy on you they must have some sort of financial tie to you (such as being dependent on you for financial suppport or being responsible for your funeral expenses). For most people that limits who may have take out a policy to parents, spouse, children, and perhaps siblings. So again - look thrugh your parents' records to see if there is such a policy, and if you have a spouse, sibling(s), or children - ask them.
