    How to lighten regrowth safely?
Hi, I dyed my hair bright red, which came out just the way I wanted as I had bleach blonde hair to start. However although Ive touched up the roots with the same colour, the roots have come out darker as my natural colour is brown, medium-light, and I wondered how I could get the top of my hair back to bright red, without making a mess of my hair, or risking the top becoming pink or anything. Any advice is greatly appreciated

This is a tough one. Since you colored over I assume bleached hair, and now you're touching up on your natural color, there's no way to get a total blend without either growing out your hair, re-bleaching and then re-dying, or stripping the hair.

All of that would do way too much damage on your hair.

Sadly the color comes out differently on different shades of hair. When you first dyed you were blonde. When you touched up the roots your natural brown color was what you were covering.

I would consider talking to a professional hairdresser. I don't think this is something you can do on your own.

    Good luck.
