Painting by Tickner
I was given this vintage kitchen chair with a painting of a New England type scene on it. As you can see it has two children playing with a sled on the frozen creek in front of a farmhouse.
I have a couple of questions. If someone could enlighten me I would be forever grateful. 1) What is the name of this style chair. Any knowledge or guesses as to what year(s) it was made/used. 2) I have contacted both Lisa and Michael Tickner and they have both said that they did not paint it. I have googled the heck out of the name and I can't seem to find another artist by the name Tickner. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to proceed now? Thanks for any help. Cassiereroni |
