    Work fine on power, in fact probably the best idea as then the CPU doesn't slow down and you'll get more out of it.

    When you plug in the power cord, the laptop is charging. Makes little difference except that batteries have a recharge cycle life. Everyone in my old company had laptops connected to a docking station. Most employees ran AC all the time.
