    I am looking for movie from 70-80s, where a girl goes to live with her dad in japan, he builds her a robot more like a playmate. Not scary, it's a kids movie.

    The movie I suggested is a comedy, not horror. It's not a complete match, but comes pretty close to your description. Here's a clip on YouTube just to rule it out for sure.
