My pug is 9 and I began to have problems like two years ago with the inside the house poop, It seems to be hard for her to poop of course, Anyone that has an imput about it?

If the animals glands are swollen and you can visibly see them from outside the body, then you need to take him to the vet ASAP. Ruptured anal glands are not comfortable, not to mention they can get a major infection and die from blood poisoning. Some dogs have to have their anal glands expressed a lot. Sometimes monthly, sometimes weekly, sometimes twice a week. I would suggeset to go to the vet now, have him do it to ensure there is no impaction of infection, then have him show you how to do it yourself.

Your dog is defecating more because of this problem. He is probably scooting his butt also. Dogs do weird things to get your attention. I guess he's trying to tell you his butt hurts.

Please don't try and express them yourself. Like I said, if you can visibly see them on the outside of the body, then there is something wrong. When they're that big, you can cause them to rupture.

Also, diet helps out a lot when it comes to anal gland problems. Once you have it diagnosed he has anal gland problems, see about changing his diet to something with lower fiber.
