Movie starts people going to a party in an apartment, People are visiting and having a good time, they hear loud sounds and feel vibrations, finding out that their neighborhood has been attacked by a huge monster. People are running for their lives, a guy sets off to find his girlfriend that is trapped in her apartment, he rescues her as the monster is near by destroying the city. Military forces come to help. A helicopter is taking people to safety, the couple is not allowed in the helicopter, because it is full. Just as it takes off the monster hits the helicopter, it comes crashing down. The couple also hides in a large drain pipe, I think they get killed. This movie has good special effects! I have been wanting to view it again, but can't remember the name!
