    Southwestern Pottery Mark Identification
    Does anyone know the id of this mark - it looks like handy handy!

    Yes it does look like handy andy and everyone in the southwest either makes pottery or jewellery. It can't always be attributed to amerinds.

    Some amerind pottery is unique in its design and execution, and some people capitalize on this making sub standard pottery and jewellery.

    This is however, a very well made piece, but if you are asking for a value, I can't say. There is so much pottery coming out of the southwest.

Please can anyone tell me what an A Y pottery mark on my recently bought pottery plate means? The capital A has a capital Y directly behind it stamped into the heavily grogged plate back. There is a certain quality to it that I feel it might have been made by a potter of some standing. :)
