Kenmore ultrawash 665 will not start
7 year old kenmore dishwasher will not start. We have tried the reset sequence (hiTemp wash-Air dry) and got all the lights to come on, but 1) we can not hit cancel to stop it, and 2) if we just let it run through its sequence, it does the drain cycle sounds with an odd set of lights on (washing, sensing, quick rinse, and both 4 & 6 hr delay start). Once it is done with the sequence, pushing "normal wash" gets no response (light does not come on), and start gets no response. We also opened the front and pulled out the wire connector from the panel to the control board. Looked clean, but we wiped with alcohol anyway & put in & sealed with vaseline.
Can we get away with just a ~$170 touchkey pad or a ~$140 control board, or does our situation require replacing both?
