    Swollen face after moller tooth pulled
    What can I do about my tooth Monday got are bottom moler pulled out had lots of puss pockets following day went back be right side very swollen with a big bump anthother dentist told me to go to er they bave me IV and antibiotics then a day later went back to dentist and at this pont swolling went down a little but now down to my still on my cheek but now I have double chin he said for me to just take antibiotics and come back on Monday he said if still swollen then we have to do something about it? Can I dye from this ? What should I do?

    Your doctor knows best. If the swelling gets worse or is accompanied by a fever, call your doctor. You may not be responding to the antibiotics and your doctor may need to switch your prescription and/or add a steroid (i.e. Medrol dosepak). Otherwise, if no fever, you can take up to 4 Advil or Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for pain and swelling until it's manageable. Using an icepack that you can wrap around your head (found at any drugstore) and not lying completely down (which forces blood into the head and increases swelling) also helps - use pillows to prop yourself halfway up instead of lying down.
