I am a natural dark blonde/light brown. For several months, I've been very light blonde but my roots were showing and I wanted to go more towards my natural color for college. I dyed my hair a dark blonde at home and it turned out very ashy and grey and DARK. There were no brown tones to it, it was like a blue-grey with gold shine. I didn't like it. So last night I bought a darker brown hair color at the drugstore and it turned my hair almost BLACK. I think it's because my hair was so pourous that it just picked up the color right away. I want to go back to my light brown but I am terrified of ruining my hair. I go back to college in two weeks and I need to do something about this fast! I can't meet my new professors looking like a trashball with hair that's way too dark for my skin! Oh, and I can't spend hundreds of dollars on my hair. Which is why I want to go back to my natural color. I'll spend $200 at MOST.
