Temporary loss of vision and high pitch whistling in both ears
    Howdy y'all -

I was at a wedding and they made us stand up for most of the ceremony, which was only like 15 minutes, and about half way I started feeling real dizzy and a little while later I lost my vision (all I saw was the color black) and there was a high pitch whistle in both of my ears. I couldn't take it, so I had to break a social convention and collapse on my chair. After a while the dizziness and blindness disappeared, but the whistling still continued for like 5 minutes after the other stuff went away. And I also don't remember them exchanging rings or anything, but that's probs because I was blind and couldn't hear almost anything at all.

This never happened to me before, except when I was like 10 and I was in Busch Gardens and dehydrated, but this time I had drank like 2.5 pints since morning and it was like 4pm. I usually drink more, but it wasn't a super hot day or nothing, so there was no need, so I think that's totally unlinked.

And the day before I thought I had tonsillitis because my throat hurt when I swallowed, but that went away the next day and all I had was the sniffles. Also doesn't seem like something that would make me unable to stand up straight for 10 minutes.

    Should I be real concerned?

Sounds like you were about to pass out. Could be that you didn't drink enough, could be that your blood sugar was low, could be your iron levels, or it could be something else completely.

The fact is, we can't diagnose you on the internet. We can guess, but there are too many possibilities in this case, some not at all serious, others very serious.

When in doubt see your doctor. Better safe then sorry.

Does your neck stiffened? I had this experience before and it was because of high blood pressure.
