    No title for my mobile home
    Hello I was wondering how I go about getting a title for my mobile home,we never received a title the people we bought it from left town and we don't know where they are

    Take your bill of sale to the DMV and see if they'll issue you one.

    So many things as to the age of the home, and where it is, some very old mobile homes did not have titles. Others did or do.

    But if it had a title, do you know there is not a lien on it ? Do you even know the people you bought it from owed it ?

    You need to go to normally the DMV and search the serial number of the mobile home and do a title search.

    I do hope you have a bill of sale, that is witnessed or notarized.

    You can also go down to the Tax Auditor's Office and find out the particulars on your home as far as the county is concerned. They will list who has been paying the yearly taxes upon the home. They may even have the title number as well. I went down to my local tax office and found out all about the home I live in down to when it was first placed on the land, to how much money it cost brand new to who was the original owner. You'd be surprised what that office can supply you with.

    Why did you buy a MH with NO title in the first place?
