    Thermastate installation
    I am replacing a older trane thermaste with a new honeywell cannot get the wiring colors right they were not marked when the old one was removed , can you help on this issue

    Sure we can. Marking the wires with a thermostat is a very critical hing as you have learned. This is why they give you many labels with the new thermostat.

    You need to tell us exactly what color wires you have at the thermostat.
    So you have absolutely no recollection of how the old one was wired? They are usually wired strictly according to color.
