Your urine tested positive for drug use, and you were discharged. I don't think they would allow you to re-enlist.

As a service member, NCO and prior recruiter; I would have to say that we don't want you back. But the regulations are always changing. Your local recruiter would be able to give you a more realistic idea if it is possible. You could also have contact HRC St. Louis to have your RE Code changed. This takes a long time though. Another thing, if you are able to come back in don't expect to be given any options at MEPS (Airborne, station of choice, bonus). Expect to come into your previous MOS and go wherever they send you.

With the government and the military there are often wavers and exceptions to many rules. The number of years it has been since discharge, the type of discharge and your military record prior to this, did you do two tours of duty in Iran before this happen, were you wounded in action, cited for braverly, many things can effect your request.

If you have kicked your drug habit and really want to serve our nation I wish you luck
