I want to conceive
[B]Hello, I am 32 yrs. Old mom and have a kid of 4yr old. Soon after I delivered I started taking 'Meliane' contraceptive pills, meaning that I have been taking these pills for around 4 years. Now, I want to conceive again, I consulted my gynecologist and he said everything was OK with me and I could go ahead. He put me on Folic Acid. I have stopped taking the pills since 3 months, but nothing has happened up till now. My cycle has become longer since I stopped the pills, it has become around 40 days, and I am quite unsure as to when I am actually ovulating. So I started to use 'Ovatel' ovulation Test soon after my last period which started on last 14th July 2011. Surprisingly, 25 days after my periods I don't seem to be ovulating (according to the test). Could it be that the test is wrong or have I stopped ovulating? The fact that I took 'Meliane' for 4 years, could this be the reason why I am not conceiving again? I am really desperate and stressed about this situation, please advise me.

All could be true or not, we can only speculate. There's nothing in the Meliane literature to suggest that any use of that pill prevents future ability to conceive. You haven't been off the pill for very long, and ability to conceive can be anywhere from just a few weeks to some number of months. You have only tested for ovulation for 25 days so far.
You could see a fertility specialist to find out if you are possibly running out of follicles, not unheard of at 32, but I would give it several months before spending the money. |

If you will stop taking stimulants and allow your body to go back into a regular cycle your chances of full recovery from the hormones should happen.
The male sperm is also increased after 48 hours of non activity. Allow him to have that extra attention only every other day and not everyday. When he does ejaculate be sure it is in as deep as it can go and he is not moving until he is complete. This will allow him to more effectively deliver his sperm. I say this because your body Sucrets a chemical naturally that kills sperm. It only takes one and he may release millions with a single ejaculation episode. Have fun! |
