On deportation proceedings - but didn't know -- married to US citizen
I am married to a US Citizen. We have two children together. My wife submitted the I485 and I130 back in 1997 and in 2001 we were cited for an iterview but denied because, back when I was 15 I was ordered deported -- I didn't know this because my parents use the wrong address on the paperwork when INS released me to them when I was caught entering the country illegaly. I was otherwise elegible under NACARA but only had 3 days to submitt and because my wife didn't believe we could gather all the paperwork required for the Asylum under ACT 202 we didn't apply on time. At the time, we interviewer and other immigration representatives at the local office, just advised us to apply for a cancellation of deportation. It has been a long time, I never left, but I lived in Puerto Rico for almost 8 years. We were always afraid to ask for the pardon because, we felt this cases are usually denied in an Immigration Court. I have been frustrated all this time because Immigration granted me a Work Permit and never told us about this deportation issue, and it was too late to submitt under NACARA. Now NACARA is only available for Guatemalans, Salvadorian and Russians. It is not fair, what is your advise in our case?

Deported to where, when you were 15?
Your only hope is a good immigration lawyer. Are you in PR now, or the states?

Nicaragua and I was in PR, I am back in the US now, till my drivers license expires -- which is perfectly valid.
