First, who is telling your this and what reasons are they giving?

Mobile homes come under DMV rules so check with your local DMV office or web site.

To be honest, they move entire houses, it may all depend on how you are moving and the cost. Many older homes may require new axles or even complete support systems.

There will be permits and other regulations to follow,
A moblie home moving company locally can give you the requirements

The park where you intend to move it may not like the condition your home is in now. And being that old a home chances are when the house movers hit the first speed bump your home will literally fall apart. House moving requires a home to be in really really good shape inside and out. And you have to remember the home is going down the highway at 55MPH and can happily fall apart then.

Most home movers I know wouldn't touch your home unless it was heavily reinforced on the inside and outside prior to the move.

And why do you want to move your home in the first place? Why not just buy another in the park where you want to go as it will be cheaper in the end anyway as house movers are not cheap even to move a single wide home very far.
