    What do I do about a landlord that has gave me a verbale eviction when there is NO LE
    Im Renting from my in-laws and we have NO LEASE and they gave me a verble eviction how can I fight it? The house was falling apart when we moved in and myself and my husband put over $700 into the house and now they don't want to give it back.How long do I have before I have to get out?
    Verble eviction was on 7/9/2011 They said 30 days please help!!

    You are on a month to month verbal rental. They may ask you to leave with a 30 day notice. You should not have put any money into fixing anything up without an agreement.

    If you do not leave at 30 days, they can file in court to have you evicted by the court. ( and you will have that on your record)

    Hello a:

    A 30 notice to vacate MUST be written and MUST include a full rental period. In other words, for notice to be effective at the end of the following month, it would have to be received by the tenant BEFORE the 1st of the month.

    In your case, VERBAL notice has no weight in law. However, you're going to have to move eventually, so why prolong it?
