    Crate Training Accidents
I have a 10 week old Whoodle (Wheaten/Poodle Mix). She is a very good girl and will pee outside almost on command. The problem is that every night she poops in her crate. I always go outside with her, we take walks, she eats early, but has only pooped outside one time. How can I teach her to go poop outside since she never goes I can't reward her. I have a feeling the breeder was paper training her and used the crate a place for the dogs to relieve themselves when she was showing them. HELP!

Getting the first success can be difficult. And I think you are correct, many problems come from poor management by the breeder. Just as a crate restricts movement, allowing the dog to go longer without relieving itself, exercise stimulates the dog to relieve itself. Since she is relieving her self over night, start before going to bed. Allow as much as an hour. Take her out and walk, walk, walk. Play fetch or anything else to keep her moving. Do give her a chance to stop and sniff. Otherwise, keep going. They can't hold it forever. I don't think they have near as good of control over their bowels as bladder even up to a year old. Sooner or later, she is going to have to go. Be ready with the praise and maybe a treat. It may take more than once, but she should catch on.

It sounds like you are doing a good job. You may want to look at the sticky at the top of the dog forum, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...man-53153.html It may have some helpful material. What sort of a coat does your Whoodle have? Is it the Poodle like fur without the allergy causing dander?

Thanks for the input. I would say it's a combination of fine, soft, wavy with no dander and no shedding... yeah!
