    Red to blonde without bleach?
All right. So I have EXTREMELY damaged hair & it's naturally blonde but about a month ago I dyed it red with Splat semi-permanent red hair dye & after bleaching it to do that my hair has been so screwed up. But now I HAVE to go back blonde before the August 1st & I'm trying to find a way to go back blonde without having to bleach my hair. I also have blonde hair extensions that I need to dye my hair to match. I'm thinking about the Color Zap or Color Fix but I'm still a little confused about both products. I NEED help! Is it possible to do it without bleach? & also if you know of ANY deep conditioning treatment products that work amazingly, PLEASE let me know. If it helps I have collarbone length, thick, frizzy, dry hair & I have to straighten it if I want to go anywhere. I also frequently get it thinned.

    Any help is appreciated greatly!

    Jackie.

I don't know about turning red hair blonde without the use of any bleach as that is not going to happen without the use of bleach. How else are you going to get the red out of your hair? Certainly not a magic wand.

And as for a good deep conditioner I would recommend using L'oreal's Nature Therapy. I've used this for years and my dry, bleached ends behave beautifully. You can get this at Sally's Beauty Supply. I'd recommend slobbering it on liberally on your present hair, let sit for 5 minutes and rinse out. I use it every time I shampoo. A big jar 16 oz lasts me about a year so it's well worth the money.

I have the same problem. I've bleached or stripped my hair 5-6 times over three years, so its VERY, VERY damaged. I'm naturally a strawberry blonde, but about six months ago I dyed my hair jet black. Now I am bored of being a brunette. (look it up in the dictionary brunette means black). Lol
I want to go a medium ash Blonde then put my purple hair dye on it at a later date. Since my hair is so damaged bleaching is out of the question and probably is for you too. If you bleached it your hair would likely end up on the floor. A Sally's store manager recommended I use 40 developer creme' and PRELL shampoo, the prell will greatly strip out the color. Since you are red it will take it to an orange color. BUT I warn you iy will leave your hair feeling like straw. Condition condition condition afterwards. I used the crème and prell and it got a lot of the black out of it, but not completely. Then I used a Loreal product, it's a bright blonding kit that I have used before... on virgin hair. It worked great on my virgin hair, but black is the HARDEDT color to get out, due to the damage I coukd only leave it on half the time, so my hair came out red. You could probably leave it on for the 30min and get close to were you need to be. Its no where nwar as harsh as regular bleaching. If its orange after this you could try a cool blonde color like an ash, not a golden blondethat should tone down the orangish tint. After all of my faux-pas with my own hair I suggest going to a PRO at a Salon FIRST. If for nothong more than a consult, let them look at your hair and tell them what product you used on it. I wish you the best of luck I hope your hair doesn't break off like mine has any product you put in your hair other than conditioner will Damage it period. Good Luck =]
