    Depo side effects?
    Hi doc.. I am using Depo contraceptive.After 12 weeks,I waited about a month now for my menstruation but it didn't happen.. im not sexually active but when I did the pregnancy test the result was positive.. am I really pregnant?

    The depo can stop a period, it stopped mine for the 4 years I was on it, but, its very rare to get a false positive pregnancy test result. You need to see your Doctor as soon as possible to get some more tests to see if you are indeed pregnant and do this before your next depo injection or it can be harmful to your baby.

Just wondering if anyone else was having the same side effects as I am and if they have any answer for them. I quit the depo last November 2006 I was on it for almost three years it took me almost 2 months to start my period and I stayed on it for almost 2 months now I'm not starting at all :eek:
