    Sunburn into a tan?
I went to the beach today and I kept reapplying sunscreen(SPF 30). I have no idea how I got burnt, I reapplied it about 4 times. Anyway, I'm very burnt. I read about to turn sunburn into a tan get rid of the sunburn first but any other suggestions? Help please

Lots and lots of aloe vera. That's the only tried and true method I've ever heard of. I've also found that avoiding hot or even too warm of a shower helps, not so much with getting rid of the sunburn, more with the discomfort of having it though.

Thanks, and so you say I'm supppost to avoid hot showers or warm which means I should avoid the sun. But, I have to go to a family friends house to go swimming. If I stay in the water, is that bad?

I'd say it depends on how bad the burn is. If you're out in the sun and still burnt the burn will probably get worse. You could always keep a shirt on over your swimsuit. And I would switch to a higher spf and make sure it's water proof.

Long story short... 5 hours of drunken river tubing with minimal sunblock. From about an inch above my ankle to my knee is fried... but that's not really the issue. My ankles and feet have swollen so much it's hard to walk on them... I was thinking about going to the hospital... and I read some...
