    18 yr old wants to sue father for Child Support in Texas and there's no court order
    18 yr recently lost her mother and the father was never ordered to pay child support because the mother never filed. Can she pursue this in court? Austin, Tx

    Nope. Support is paid to the custodial parent to raise the child. Since the mother never filed, no support is owed and she can no longer file.

    Sorry, no, had the mom ever filed, the mom's estate could seek back child support. But it is too late now to file.
