Should I schedule an appt asap with my OBGYN? I have PCOS and was bleeding for 3 weeks very lightly, had a week of no bleeding, then 1 week of very heavy gushing. I stopped bleeding for 2 days, now I am having another heavy gushing day. Prior to this month I have not had a period since Oct. 2010. I am 32, was on Birth Control from age 17-27, and on/off metphormin since I was 27. The metphormin makes be very sick to my stomach, so usually after a year of taking it I take a few months off before seeing my doctor and starting it again. I would like to get pregnant eventually, but have not had any other meds to help with that yet. My doctor was hoping just the metphormin would help me ovulate enough. I have not been taking my meds since Oct. 2010 and do not currently have an appt set up with my doctor. Is this 3+ weeks of bleeding something to be worried about? Should I see my doctor asap?
