Kohler bathtub faucet won't come off?
I am tryinf to replace the old three valve bathtub and shower faucets as well as the drain and, well the whole group of outer cosmetic parts. The stem has the cheesy, old polished chrome hot and cold valves with the valve in the middle for shower or tub direction. I got the direction valve off with no problem, but the hot/cold valves had a screw... which I removed. I turned the water off and bled the lines. Tried to turn counterclockwise off or to see another screw or something and nothing there. There is a piece of trim or flange that is threaded on behind the hot and cold valves. I have tried prying, gently smacking, turning this way and that, there are no more screws. I am fed up. Somebody help me before I take the wall down please.
