Outside gas pac (natural gas) has lot of soot on furnace
Seems like a lot of soot around on unit above exchanger. Noticed a lot of soot on eve of house this past winter. Heat and a/c is working OK. Just trying to head off any problem. I have a handicapped son and don't want any sudden break downs... [IMG]undefined[/IMG]Any help please.

When turning on , the furnace comes on with more of a force now makes a little bang sound, furnace runs the cycle, sometimes the pilot light will go out.
I have a strong pilot light but the main burner isn't coming on... could it be the thermocouple?
