    Squaters writes in Oregon?
Next week me,my two children and my husband will be homeless do to my husband being laid off from his job back in February, we have been struggling to pay our rent and were able to make it threw April,by the grace of God,then in May we were unable to pay our rent. A good friend lent us the money to pay our rent at the end of the month but the management company would not take it and now Tuesday morning we go to court for eviction proceedings. We already have one eviction and once again by the grace of God we were able to rent the place we live now from private owners who sold two months after we moved in. So now we will have two evictions hanging over us, I'm so scared I have a 9 year old son and a 5 year old daughter, I feel like such a failure and don't know what to do! There is a little place that I no about where the owner had actually forgotten he even had this place for over 3 years and then 2 weeks ago was seen there,so a neighbor talked to him he said he wants to rent to own and that would be perfect for me and my family. So my question is if we move in and turn the utilities on in our name and make improvements on the place would that be legal? Can I go to jail for doing this? Please I need advice and don't know what to do!

No, you can't just move into a vacant house and somehow turn that into ownership. It doesn't work that way.

And to answer your earlier question, if you move in without permission, that is a crime. Trespassing.

If you move in, you can be guilty of dozens of crimes from breaking and entering, to tresspass, to criminal damage to property ( your improvements that were not oked by the owner.

If you want to move in and try to buy the home, talk to the owner and make some arrangements
