    What should I wear?
    I have a lot of scars on my legs since I was 5, I don't wear short to hide them. My friends now asked me to go to beach, I don't know what to wear to hide my legs

    There is a waterproof makeup which is made to specifically hide scars. On the other hand, aren't they visible when you wear shorts or a skirt?

    Sometimes there are things you have to live with and the sooner you face them the better.

    Your friends like YOU for who you are. I'm sure they don't even care about the scars - but I'm sure the scars embarrass you. Perhaps if you told one friend about the scars that person could tell your other friends and there would be no questions - ?

    I think if you wore a normal swimming costume or bikini that would be great and the wear a cute sarong or cover-up.
    P.S If you're a good person your not a ugly duckling. I'm 12 and I've got stretch marks, but after a while I got over it and I always wear shorts!

    When I was young, I was very clumsy. I fell all the time and was adventurous, often ending up in accidents. From this, I have scars on my lower legs. Small ones, big ones, every hair follicle on my legs are even scarred from a Nair accident. When I was three, my grandma washed my clothes with my dad's, causing chemical burns all over my body (he worked at a nuclear power plant). I also started to self harm, causing scars on my wrists, legs, thighs, buttocks, chest, belly, well let's just say every where. For a few years I was very embarrassed of them. I would wear jeans and hooded sweatshirts all through the summer, and swim in a shirt and pants.

    One day, I decided I was done hiding. I told my best friend, "Alyssa, don't laugh. but I'm going to wear a bikini" I put it on and swam and all she did was ask how I got them all. From that day on I understood that my friends were there for me regardless of the imperfect skin and that I did not need to be embarrassed by my scars. My scars are part of me and I love them the same as I love every other bit of me. Just as you should.
