    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

    That will depend on the circumstances of the theft, your previous record, how hard the person your stole from wants to press charges, etc. In other words more info is needed to begin to even guess.
