Your best bet is to feed her cotton balls. I know it sounds strange, but it works. The cotton wraps around the bone, and therefore prevents the bone from tearing the dogs stomach and intestines. This will work best if she just ate the bone.

Dip the cotton balls in beef broth to make it more palatable. You could also feed her bread, but cotton balls are better.

If she poops blood, or starts acting like she's in pain, you must take her to the emergency vet asap. Chicken bones can kill.

    Good luck.

I am all for feeding bread while you are on your way to the vet.

I'd prefer that. OP did state that the vet isn't open right now, and emergency vets can be very expensive.

My dogs have eaten many chicken bones, and we've never had a problem, but, my neighbor did lose a dog from a chicken bone. It depends on the dog, the bone, etc. etc. It's always best to err on the side of caution, and I would highly recommend the vet.

But, if that's not something the OP can do, or is willing to do, the cotton balls or bread is something that has been shown to work. Of course it's most effective if done right after the bone is swallowed.

I hope that this dog does get to a vet. If not, the warning signs I mentioned should be followed. If there is blood in the stool then it's bad, very bad, and the dog needs a vet immediately. Before blood the dog will be in pain, and it will be noticeable. Both of those situations require immediate vet care.
