I have the drain tile changed for a year, After a few months, I notice my basement humidity even higher than before.
During the raining period, I can have 8 Liters water or more from my dehumidifier and now I am planning to add sump pump inside the basement. How to dig and where can I get the good spot to collect all the water... etc But a thinking come to me was the outside sump that they build closed to the house. It didn't has a base bottom. I have asked them why like that? But they told me because of it is deep into the firm clay layer.So it didn't need the concrete base, Just direct on the soil is fine!

My question was Is this true? If not than how to fix this problem..? After this I mat still go for the sump pump
But how and where is another question I need you to help out ! Cheer!!

I personally would have at least put some gravel in the bottom, but that's just me.

As far as location of the inside pit, its kind of a guessing game. If you are experiencing water cominp up in cracks etc in a cerain area, that is a good place to put the pit. For new sump installations in the basement on exisisting homes, we break up a 2 foot round hole in the contrete, dig the entire 2 foot diameter down roughly 20 inches, pour a layer of gravel in the base, roughly 2 inches of gravel, then set a 15 inch(inside diameter), by 18 inch deep plastic culvert with 1/8 inch slits cut in the culvert at regular intervals around the culvert. Push the culvert down so that the top of the culvert is even, or a little below finished concrete. Then fill in around the culvert with gravel up to the bottom of the existing concrete. Finish the area around the culvert with quickrete etc. We then set three bricks in the bottom of the pit, and set the pump on top of the bricks. Pipe the pump to whichever area you have determined, don't forget a check valve, and also don't forget you will need a readily accesable power outlet to run the pump. Hope Im not forgetting anything.
