Texas resident working for a company located in GA_ how state income taxes work out?
    Hi,

I am a Texas resident living in Texas, and was hired by a company that is located in GA. I will be working partly from home and partly traveling domestic and international with my job. Although my income is paid by the GA company, I am a non resident and will not be working out of GA. How will my state income tax work out?

You pay income tax only to the state(s) where you live and/or you work. It does not matter where the company is based. Since you live and work in TX (not GA), you do not owe GA any income tax - and since TX has no income tax you should not have any state tax withheld at all. Make sure that the payroll department is aware that you are based in TX, to avoid them from mistakenly withholding GA taxes from your pay.
