I Want To Fade My Hair Dye.

I dyed my hair jet black in order to get rid of my highlights. I dyed it jet black & unfortunately I didn't like it too well. It's been about 2 months & my hair hasn't lightened up too much. I heard about fading it with prell. Does it matter how long my hair has been died in order to fade it with prell?
