    Hampton bay fan won't start?
    The fan and light have worked for years via remote - suddenly the fan doesn't work but light still does. This happened once before and I was pulling it out to install a new one and it started working again. That made me think that pulling power from the embedded controller chip probably rebooted it and made it work again. So this time I flipped power off from the breaker - but the fan still won't work after a recycle.
