It's possible, but the chances are very slim. Am I correct in assuming you are trying to get pregnant?

Yes my boyfriend is a marine and he is getting deployed in September and we both want kids and he wants us to have one in case something happens and I want that as well. And he came inside 4 times but I got worried when I got it yesterday.

    Most likely you are not.

Now, you might want to rethink trying to get pregnant now.

While I understand what you both are feeling, both of my sons have been to Iraq and back, being deployed is very hard on a couple.

With you being pregnant and him being away makes the pregnancy that much harder. He won't be able to be there for doctors visits or ultrasounds, he most likely won't be able to be there for the birth.

You won't have him for support while you are pregnant. You won't be able to share the joy of the birth if he is away and you are without him.

Why not wait until he gets back? I understand your feelings of "he wants us to have one in case something happens," but are you prepared to be a single mother? Do you realize how hard it would be for you should you lose him and have to look at a child that looks just like him?

I think you both have your hearts in the right place, I just think your timing is wrong.

How do I know this? Because my granddaughter was born while my son was in Iraq. It was so hard on my DIL having him gone while she was pregnant, and his heart broke when his daughter was delivered and he was half way around the world.

OK well you may be right. And if I'm not now then I won't be until a year from now because he is in California and I am in mass. And I won't see him till he comes back here.. but I do understand how emotional it willb be without him... my mom had me at nineteen with a marine as well and he wasn't there when I was born and actually he's not even in my life now. But what I don't get is t happened four times why wouldn't I be? A lot of things confuse me sorry lol

It ONLY happened four times. You know, it takes the average healthy couple up to a year, and sometimes longer, of actively trying before actually conceiving.

It's very rare to conceive after having intercourse only 4 times. You see, it's important to know when you are ovulating. There is only a 24 - 36 hour window of opportunity a month for us women to be able to conceive.

I do think it best for you to wait until he comes back. Your mother's history should also be a clue to you what might possibly be in your future.

What's the hurry? You are young. Get married, settle down, take time to be together as a married couple before having children. Relationships are hard enough without throwing a very demanding expensive child in the mix.
