    In Hawaii, wife on mortgage loan not on deed.
    Does wife have property rights?

    She may not be on the title in the Bureau of Convenyance or Land Court but she is listed on the mortgage filed to encumber the sale of the property. You'd have to think that if you mortgage is filed as a lien on your property, your wife would have the ability to claim rights to the property.

    Please post the law on this - It is my understanding that being listed on the mortgage does NOT convey right or title to the property.
