    Payne compressor needs replacement
    I own a Payne condenser Product # PH10JA030000ACAA, Model #PH10JA030-C, Serial #1399E26516. This system needs a new compressor and I am trying to see what type and cost of this Item. Just checking behind the A/C man to insure he is not overpricing this item.

    How old is condenser, I`m guessing maybe around 12 years old. Its maybe pretty old to replace compressor ,how much more will it cost to replace the entire unit, there are a few companies out there that have gone back to selling R-22 condensers again,which would match up to your evaporater OK.
    Just a thought maybe for you to look into
