    My husband was arrested over a family violence case if the charges get dropped will he serve jail time for being arrested even though the charges are dropped? Its his first probation violation

    Hello p:

    Even if the charges are dropped, it doesn't mean that he didn't violate probation. If he did, he'll have a hearing and the judge might give him some time in the slam. Of course, I have no idea what he did, or IF it's a violation.

    No, he will not serve time for being arrested (other then the time he may have to stay in jail between arrest and bail or charges being dropped). But if he violated probation, he may have to fulfill that sentence.
