Water keeps coming back behind my liner
I have had this problem last year and simply pumped the water out and it was fine all season! Now this year I opened the pool almost 3 weeks ago now and had the same issue. I know about when the water table in the ground rises that it can cause the liner to float! I had wrinckles and all the signs of this but didn't really think anything of it, and proceeded to pump out the water like I did last year but it came back! I'm in eastern NY and we had record rain fall in the past few months and figured it might take a few more times! Now it's been like 7 or 8 times I've pumped water out and it's not getting any better,it only seems to be getting worse! The only thing I can think of is that I have a hole in the liner somewhere! But is it possible for it to cause this much water behind the liner? And every time I do pump it out the water level goes down about an inch or so and I'm worried that my pump is going to go air bound and ruin it! Anybody know anything about this or had this problem? What did you do to fix it?

What you need to do is fill the pool back up and check around the skimmer mouth for any signs of leaks and also check around the return lines and if you have one a automatic pool cleaner line. It would be a good idea to get a leak locating dye kit at your local pool store and search the entire liner for leaks( any holes, tears scrapes and etc)if you find any leaks get yourself a patch kit for vinyl liners and follow the directions on the box.
