As long the momma feeds them and cleans them, there should be no need for concern. She doesn't need to pick them up in order to properly care for them. Did you create a makeshift nursery/bed for her and the kittens to stay in together? Just leave let her do her things.

Free Information About Taking Care of Newborn Kittens

You can do another search on the internet under Caring for Newborn Kittens. Something should pop up.

If the mother cat is still feeding her kitens then it is fine if she doesn't pick them up. She might not be touching them if you or someone in your family touched them shortely after they were born, the mother cat will smell the human and not want them anymore.

There really isn't need for concern as long as the mother does what is necessary for them to survive. It not that uncommon for the mother not to pick up her kittens, especially if you helped deliver without gloves. Just as long as she continues to feed and groom them, they should be OK. :-)

I would suggest letting the momma cat sleep on some atricle of clothing like a blanket for one night and then the next day rub that blanket, the momma cat slept on, on the kittens. Sometimes she just has to know they are hers and smell can help with that! Hope that helps!
