    Chapter 802 Wisconsin Statutes
HELP, I have received a summons for a credit card debt. It was filed by a collection agency (assignee of the bank). I have 20 days to submit a written response, using Chapter 802 Wisconsin Statutes. I am not denying the debt. I was out of work for almost 18 months and started living off my credit cards. I never thought it would take me so long to get a job. I even sold anything of value to continue paying the debt. I then started borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.. . Needless to say, unless I win the lottery I'll never be able to pay this money back. I basically live from pay check to pay check. I am trying to save enough to file bankruptcy, as I see that is my only option at this point.

Can anyone help with a "sample" format of what my response should look like?

    Thanks

Section 802 merely codifies the way answers are pled. It's done about the same way in most states. The case is small claims, right? Look at the court web site for your county, for forms.
