Dog licked shout off the carpet
Friend's 20lb brussels griffon licked shout advanced gel off the carpet when she turned to get paper towels. She had spilled hot spaghetti sauce, burning herself in the process so I'm trying to help her out. The animal poison control hotlines all want $35-65, & we really don't have the $ to waste especially if he needs a vet. What should we do?

It's not a waste if it saves the dog's life. My guess? They will tell you to call a Vet.

That having been said, call a VET, not the animal poison control hotline, and ask. I am reading on line that it CAN cause burns in the dog's mouth, throat and stomach.

I would not second guess this and would call the Vet and probably take the dog to the Vet.

Understood, thank you. Its not a waste if it helps him but if we don't have enough $ to pay the vet, then it is. The "free" poison control hotline is now defunct, by the way, and only redirects to the aspca.
