    Rusty grease in water !
I few days ago I noticed my toilet had what looked to be dirt in it I then realized that my entire shower and myself were covered in it when I tried to wipe it away it appeared to be a rust colored grease that doesn't come off! I have town water so I'm not on a well and other apartments in the building are not having the same problem!

Any funny odor to the water or on your skin? Do you have a waterfliter on your fresh water incoming line?

Depending on where you live you may consider calling the health department to report a possible bacteria content in the domestic water.

Assuming an apartment complex, call managemnt office. Same advice if a condominium complex.

I have rust coming out of one of my bathroom faucets. Doesn't matter how long I leave it on rust still comes out. It is OK when I turn on the cold water, only happens when I turn on the hot water. Any advice?

Rusty water [ 2 Answers ]

We have a shallow well with a 5 gal. tank & 1 h.p. pump motor. It has a cheap add on conditioner for acid. There is a lot of rust in the water especially when the water isn't used for a while. Then it comes out dark brown & takes a month or so to clear up. Then of course everything is rust stained...

What about rusty water [ 1 Answers ]

We just installed a new faucet in our bath tub. The first handful of water that comes out each time is rusty looking, then clears up. Is this a problem and how do we fix it?
