    Icecubes taste like "onions"
I have washed all parts of the freezer and ice maker, soaking everything in dawn and baking soda. Ice still has a taste to it. What can I do?

Yes. The kept complaining that the water tasted bitter. It was the filter. Mine has to be changed every 6 months.

Check the ice maker and wash it out. While you are at it check under the frig and see if the coils are clogged with dirt. If the ice maker is giving you problems it's also time to clean the coils. DrTom4444

For the last 2 months, the water and ice that come from my refrigerator dispensers has smelled and tasted horrible and mildewy. I removed the (optional) water filter from the unit but the situation has not changed. (The filter was only 6 months old anyway.) Our tap water tastes fine--this seems...
