Wiring ceiling fan light kit
Hunter fan with a black and a white wire. Harbor Breeze 3 way light switch with a black, blue and red wire. Which one to which? I checked Ceiling fan wiring - Ceiling Fans N More but that didn't help and also did not see it covered on this site---any help?

Not familiar with the HB switch, but switches are all pretty much the same, except the color codes may not be standard. The fan however is a standard color code, the black is hot and the white is neutral. Connect the fan white to the white in the ceiling outlet.
On the switch, the black should be the common, so connect the switch black to the black in the ceiling outlet, the red and blue on the switch should be switched legs, so use either one and cap the other.

The third wire is for a light kit if you add it later. I wire all my ceiling fans so the lights come on with the switch when you walk through the door and the ceiling fan is always hot so that it works from the pull chain.

Your Hunter fan should have 3 wires plus ground. If it does not, either it does not have a light or has a built in remote. Either way you don't need the extra switch.

Mapdog and Ceilingfanrepair, this switch is for the light kit. Do I connect all 4 blacks to the black(makes sense) and either the blue or red to the 4 whites of the light kit and then connect the blacks to the black of the fan and the other group to the white of the fan?

How many wires do you have in your ceiling? In order to separately control the fan and light from the wall you need two separate hots.
Or maybe I'm confused-- are you talking about a wall switch or replacing a pullchain switch?

I'm still not clear on what you were discussing, but if you got it fixed it doesn't matter :)
