    You will need a program to do it with. Depending on the actual extension (.zip .rar etc) You can choose a program to work with. Expand the file into a folder and your pictures should appear in there.

    Starting with Windows XP, support for Zip files is built in to Windows. Just open the filder and use the Extract option.
